June 23, 2010- Oriental Daily - Ekin Is Not An Outdated Legend

Ekin has been in the Entertainment industry for more than 20 years. Even though he has changed his image many times, he is still remembered as the sunshine boy. In those days his hair was short as he played a student older brother to advertise a beverage. His brilliant smile caused this sunshine image to penetrate peoples hearts. This advertisement can be rated as one of the classics.

Later Ekin grew his hair long, the result was extraordinarily ideal. He was popular for singing, movies and television, so much so that he held a series of concerts at the Hong Kong Coliseum. He even wore fur at an outdoor concert.

When Ekin shifted into playing heroes, he developed Japanese manga character roles. All of them were very successful and enjoyed by audiences. They includedChan Ho Nam in Young and Dangerous, Whispering Wind in Storm Riders, and Hero Hua in China Hero. Ekin's portrayals were extremely vivid.

Later for the movie Dream Girlfriend he even curled his hair to dance with Vicky Zhao Wei. There is no lack of funny scenes in this movie, with curled hair and spectacles, plus sparkling western style clothes, playing a bumpkin to get the laugh.
