1996 the Young and Dangerous movie storm used Ekin and Jordan, two insignificant young actors, to pick up knives and do triad duty. Shift ahead 14 years and the two once again pick up the knives and enter the battlefield.
Ekin was the teenage host of 430 shuttle, while Jordan came from Twenty Something, in 1996 both in order to survive they left these shows. They joined to film the first installment of the Japanese manga Teddy Boy, as the movie Young and Dangerous . Henceforth, fate transformed their future.
Jordan: Back then Ekin filmed the first episode of Young and Dangerous. Each time he finished shooting a fight scene, the director called Cut, he then to me said " ai..my star role is finished"
Ekin: Hey I am a teenager ambassador,my image is very popular, during that time people thought I was relatively conservative, making this kind of movie it was easy to damage my image. At that time I only filmed the first episode, I was really very anxious that the public would criticize me. Very scared. Yet after the premiere, the response was unprecedented. Immediately we began shooting a sequel. In one year made we made 3 episodes. Young and Dangerous became the trend, very strong.
Jordan: I accepted these films, so I become a triad representative, because our misdeeds were killing and burning, but some media and places shut the movies out, as the the roles teach a bad route. At that instant think about our work. Of course I am disturbed. However, filming killing a person, is not the same as killing a person. People are really idiotic and ignorant about this.
interviewer: So why did you join the movie?
Ekin: We have to film then otherwise cannot eat, At that time my prospects were poor, I am asked to do a movie, of course I join it. But for no reason Taiwan shut it out, so things in the world are not absolute. This causes me to adapt to changing circumstances.
Jordan: Even though I am very disturbed, we still carry out in minute detail the bad language, the sequel was also very well received. Young and Dangerous gave us both fame and fortune.
Ekin: Really I have don't have a similar outcome to Jordan, It would be better to give up evil and return to good original role of cops and robbers movie and altogether be policemen, It is a pity each have a different character to put into practice
Jordan: Although no chance to film a cops and robbers film at the same time, but finally at the beginning of this year have everyone gather together, after more than ten years since the first film there is a favorable impression and we are happy to come out again.
Ekin and Jordan after Young and Dangerous now film Once a Gangster and are reunited. The director carefully didn't let each know that the other had been cast for the movie. Before filming he arranged for the cast to eat together. When Ekin saw Jordan, these old friends talked non-stop.
Jordan: When they call me to film a triad movie, I think ask my family, maybe I can't tolerate this thing, I think maybe I won't do it, then when I see Ekin.. I am filming. There is no need to consult anyone. In the entertainment industry it is difficult to find really good friends, it is also difficult to maintain relationships
Ekin: It is because Jordan has shared the first time, we don't see each other often, but have a complete understanding. People have many sides, but we have been friends for ten years, don't have to say many sentences, can understand with a look. Men's friendship is insipid as water, this give and take is important. Once a Gangster is not a conventional triad movie, it is black humor, I hope it will create a fresh feeling. I think audiences cannot watch another Young and Dangerous movie, that genre is finished, this is a new concept, it is full of humor, and at the end I think the audience will smile.
On Valentines Day Jordan got married in America. Ekin boasts that he knew about the happy event before anyone else.
Ekin: Jordan has had this person at his side many years, so I am certain that she is the one
Interviewer: So when will you get married?
Ekin: I don't know. I will follow fate
Interviewer: Is girlfriend or brothers more important?
Ekin: We compare whatever a girlfriend is patient, feelings are also deep, but there is not a girl who can replace our relationship, but Jordan he notified me that he will go to America to get married, he called me to get a visa, then suddenly he calls and says don't go.
Jordan: it's really hard to explain easily, we went to America, I meet many of my bride's family for the first time, I am anxious that I am not able to take care of my team of brothers if they are with me. It is wonderful they are willing to go to America with me, they arranged a reception in Hong Kong before hand.
