43 year old Ekin plays the part of Yu An An's son in his new movie Once a Gangster. He hopes the audience will be pleasantly surprised. However Ekin himself is terrified, because An An who plays his mother threatened him to shave off his moustache. An An is playing the role of a mother for the first time.
Ekin has been in the entertainment industry for 25 years, and has made a lot of movies. He has played countless son roles, it could even be said that this is a familiar role. Recently however he encountered a difficult problem, because in his new film there is only eight years between the age of mother and son. " When I know that An An is my mother, I become alarmed, she is in my viewpoint a young beautiful woman, our ages are not much different, easily then this role became a lot of pressure."
An An on the other hand said that when she saw the script and had to play the part of a bereaved crazed mother, it was a huge breakthrough. Furthermore the story is creative, so I agree to do it.
Ekin said that the first time he saw An An she threatened him, " You must shave, you must use make-up to look young, don't make my image look bad." An An laughed, " I just wanted to make it clear." She added that she has been in the entertainment industry for 16 years. She has always played pretty girl roles, to play a mother involved with drugs was really different. "Though finally I give up evil and return to good, it has a teaching significance." Ekin said that when he filmed the meeting of his mother again scene, the story line goes from crying on each other's shoulder to shouting at each other. It caused their voices to break and be hoarse. "An An's acting skills are really good, from the first day she must do a crude way of talking, but she has already put it into practice, plush she is both crazy and in mourning, you can see by the results that she did her homework. This is the most unforgettable scene."
